This is a turtle-shaped islet with lush vegetation that is only inhabited by sea turtles! To arrive in Marathonisi you need your own boat but be careful because the place is protected by the National Marine Park and anchoring is prohibited. The islet consists of a sandy beach, ideal for those who prefer to relax and get some tan and also a pebbly beach which is perfect for snorkeling and exploring the nearby caves. Stay on spot until the sunset; the warm colours of the setting sun combined with the green verdant nature will hypnotize you!

Its shallow and warm waters make it the best choice for younger swimmers too! In a short walking distance you will find a source of clay, so don’t miss to experience a fast clay therapy!

#Porto Limnionas

Porto Limnionas is a hidden bay located near the mountainous village of Agios Leontas, in the western part of Zakynthos. The landscape here is craggy and dreamy at the same time; verdant white rocks with emerald transparent waters and caves compose this imaginary setting! Its caves make Porto Limnionas the perfect place for unforgettable snorkeling experiences! If you want to relax and sunbathe be aware that the beach is tiny and you will probably have to lay your towel on the flat, smooth rocks. Near the bay there is a taverna where you can enjoy your lunch and try some of the delicious fresh fish dishes!

Ferries to Zakynthos depart daily from the ports of Kilini, Patra and Kefalonia.

Enjoy your trip!
